1. Business Consultant

Candidates for a business consultant position usually major in business, computer science, engineering, or liberal arts.

Business Consultants help clients solve business problems with technology solutions. From day one, Allianture Business Consultants interact directly with key client stakeholders to design and implement webbased software applications/websites that help clients increase revenue, decrease costs and/or improve operational efficiencies. From development of internal applications to public websites, Allianture Business Consultants help transform some of America's top companies.

Responsibilities of a Business Consultant include:

  • Facilitating/participating in meetings with key client stakeholders to develop an understanding of their business
  • Evaluating software/websites of competitors in the marketplace to understand the business environment and competitive landscape of the client
  • Gathering software/website requirements from client stakeholders and potential users
  • Developing a non-technical detailed design of proposed software/websites including functional and user interface designs. These designs are typically represented via written narratives, screen mock-ups and flowcharts
  • Communicating the design to the project programmers to ensure full understanding
  • Upon completion of programming activity, ensuring software/website matches original design
  • Working with client stakeholders to roll-out software/website to users
  • Representing Allianture professionally in both client and team situations
  • Instilling confidence in Allianture's skills and ability to deliver

Candidates for a technical consultant position usually major in computer science, engineering or an engineering degree with programming coursework and an interest in being a software developer. The Technical Consultant builds world class software applications for some of the country's largest companies.

Allianture's Technical Consultants utilize top technologies including APEX, JAVA and .Net and implement popular software products such as Saleforce.com, IBM WebSphere Portal, Citrix System Integrator, Amazon Web Services, etc. while working in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities of a Technical Consultant include:

  • Designing, coding and unit/integration testing using
  • Allianture methodologies, technology and tools
  • Debugging and troubleshooting code related issues/defects
  • Producing client deliverables such as detailed design documentation, unit test plans and well documented code
  • Gaining an understanding of the unique business and technical requirements on each engagement to facilitate the most appropriate solution design
  • Practicing strong configuration management and version control
  • Representing Allianture professionally in both client and team situations
  • Instilling confidence in Allianture's skills and ability to deliver
